In this season of Lent, many Catholics visit places of worship and pilgrimage. The Philippines, having a largely Catholic population, has an abundance of such places anywhere in the archipelago. One example is this larger-than-life statue of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary.
Located in Tanay in the province of Rizal (about a two-hour drive from Manila), the statue sits on top of a ridge of a mountain.
While the place also serves as a tourist destination, the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii remind everyone that the site is primarily a place of prayer and contemplation.
Man i wish i could had done the Philippines
