“In this temple, as in the hearts of the people for whom he saved the Union, the memory of Abraham Lincoln is enshrined forever.”

Beneath those words is a grand statue of a man, the 16th president of the United States of America, whose gaze is eternally fixed at Washington Memorial located right across the Reflecting Pool. Its demeanor, if you could use that to a marble sculpture, is one that displays strongly of leadership that easily commands respect from people. The place feels sacred.
